### AI Act - EU AI Act
- Regulation: Regulation (EU) 2024/1689
- What it does: Inventories the AI systems you provide or deploy, classifies each one into its risk tier (prohibited, high-risk, limited or minimal, plus GPAI), and hands you the exact obligations, gaps and dated deadlines for your role.
- Key date: High-risk rules from 2 Aug 2026. Prohibited practices in force since 2 Feb 2025; GPAI duties since 2 Aug 2025. A Digital Omnibus delay of the high-risk dates was proposed in 2026 but is not yet law.

### CSRD - Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive
- Regulation: Directive (EU) 2022/2464, amended by (EU) 2026/470
- What it does: Checks which reporting wave you fall in after the Omnibus, walks you through a double-materiality assessment, maps the ESRS datapoints that apply, and produces a gap analysis and dated plan back from your first reporting year.
- Key date: First reporting FY2027 for newly in-scope companies. Post-Omnibus scope (Directive (EU) 2026/470): more than 1,000 employees and more than EUR 450m turnover. Stop-the-clock delayed earlier waves; a revised ESRS is being finalised in 2026.

### CSDDD - Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive
- Regulation: Directive (EU) 2024/1760, amended by (EU) 2026/470
- What it does: Checks whether the post-Omnibus thresholds catch you, then walks the six-step due-diligence cycle mapped to your business, ending in a gap map and a dated action plan.
- Key date: First application 26 July 2029. Post-Omnibus scope (Directive (EU) 2026/470): EU companies above 5,000 employees and EUR 1.5bn turnover; non-EU above EUR 1.5bn EU turnover. Transposition by 26 July 2028.

### CRA - Cyber Resilience Act
- Regulation: Regulation (EU) 2024/2847
- What it does: Checks whether your product is in scope, classifies it (default, important class I or II, or critical), runs the essential and vulnerability-handling requirements, assigns a conformity route and CE marking, and sets up the reporting duties.
- Key date: Reporting from 11 Sep 2026; full rules 11 Dec 2027. Entered into force 10 Dec 2024. Vulnerability and incident reporting applies 11 Sep 2026; the main obligations and CE marking apply 11 Dec 2027.

### EAA - European Accessibility Act
- Regulation: Directive (EU) 2019/882
- What it does: Checks whether your products and services are caught, assigns your role, walks the accessibility requirements (EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 AA), and produces an obligations list, gap assessment and a starter accessibility statement.
- Key date: In force since 28 June 2025. Requirements apply to new products and services now. A transition allows pre-2025 service contracts and products in use until 28 June 2030. Micro-enterprise exemption applies to services only.

### EUDR - EU Deforestation Regulation
- Regulation: Regulation (EU) 2023/1115
- What it does: Checks whether your commodities and products are in scope, sets your role and deadline, walks the three-step due diligence with a ready supplier data request, and gets you to a filed Due Diligence Statement.
- Key date: Large and medium by 30 Dec 2026; small by 30 Jun 2027. Dates confirmed after the second delay, Regulation (EU) 2025/2650. Cut-off date for deforestation-free is 31 Dec 2020.

### CBAM - Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism
- Regulation: Regulation (EU) 2023/956
- What it does: Checks whether your imports are in scope against the new 50-tonne threshold, plans your authorised declarant status, builds a supplier emissions data request, and gets you ready for declarations and certificates.
- Key date: Definitive regime live; first declaration due 30 Sep 2027. Definitive regime since 1 Jan 2026. A 50-tonne annual de-minimis threshold (Regulation (EU) 2025/2083) exempts roughly 90% of importers. Certificate sales start 1 Feb 2027.

### ESPR - Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation
- Regulation: Regulation (EU) 2024/1781
- What it does: Checks whether you are in scope, maps your products to their product group and likely delegated-act timing, assesses Digital Product Passport readiness, and flags the unsold-goods destruction ban and disclosure rules.
- Key date: Unsold-goods ban from 19 Jul 2026; rules roll out 2026 to 2030. In force since 18 July 2024 as a framework. The ban on destroying unsold apparel and footwear applies to large companies from 19 July 2026; the Battery Passport starts 18 February 2027.
